Emperor Geese, Pacific Eider, Harlequin, Aleutian Teal, American Wigeon, Eurasian Wigeon, Common Goldeneye, Old Squaw, Black Scoter, Surf Scoter, Common Merganser, Red-breasted Mergansers, Bufflehead, Greater Scaup, Pintail and Mallard are often seen during Adak's waterfowl hunting season. Rarely, Asian vagrants such as tufted ducks appear. Fresh water lagoons and sea coasts offer prime waterfowl hunting spots on Adak.
